“The safety and health of our festival attendees, vendors and presenters is our utmost concern and the Lavender Association of Colorado board of directors felt that at this time we couldn’t guarantee that we would have a low risk festival environment,” said Bob Korver, LAC president. “Because we draw such a large number of people from throughout Colorado and the Intermountain West and have had attendees from other countries in the past, we felt that the festival could have the potential to spread the disease and we didn’t want to do that,” he added. “We couldn’t figure out a way to practice safe social distancing in the park and on our guided bus tours.”
We are disappointed and apologize that we have had to cancel the 2020 festival but we are so thankful for the support that the public, our sponsors and vendors have given us. Be assured plans for the festival on June 25-27, 2021 have already begun.
